I have been using blogger for almost a year now. I actually have two blogs with blogger.

About two weeks ago, I decided to give Wordpress a try.

Well, my decision is in. I think that Blogger is much easier to work with than Wordpress. Even just updating my wordpress blogger was not very straight-forward. I also was not able to figure out how to add adsense to my blog in wordpress. Maybe some of you can tell me how to do this.

Below are examples of what I am talking about. I show one in Blogger and the other in Wordpress. You judge.

I used the blogger for a long time until 2 weeks ago. Two weeks ago I started the using of WordPress and it's much better. WordPress give to you the freedom while the blogger can be a prison for you. Anyway the adding of Google Adsense to your WordPress blog is very easy. You should edit the index.php of your used template and copy the Google Adsense code, that's all. I don't know what is the base of Blogger, but the WordPress has an Open Source base. It's cool because you can change anything in the source code of your blog engine, and I think that's the really freedom. There are a dozen of plugins for WordPress which are better and quicker than the Google Gadgets solutions. With the blogger you can create only blog posts. On WordPress you can create regular blog posts and static pages. Of course you can use PHP in blog posts and static pages by WordPress. The blogger doesn't know anything about PHP . . . There are many useful widgets for WordPress.
How can you separate a blog post from the blog archive and hierarchy on Blogger? You can do it on WordPress and you have the possibility for excluding of any post or static page what you want. According to my opinion the WordPress with your own FTP account is the best. Did you have bad experience with WordPress. In this case you were impatient. You have to spend a little time for the learning when you wanna try something new!
