Default The workplace mobbing

The phenomenon of terror in the workplace is not from today. A lot of people in fact did not realize that the treatment of their boss or the bantering of a colleague is the torment at the workplace. The phenomenon was given a special name - mobbing. If you are a victim of mobbing, you will not just have a mental trauma, may be affected your physical health too.

How does it starts

Do you feel that the Chief hunts down you without cause or colleagues communicate with you as the unusually cold, interrupting the conversation when you enter the room? Get ready, it seems that harassment has already started and its aim - to get out you from staffing. And mobbing can come either from your colleagues, and from the chief. What to expect?

Usually the workplace mobbing runs on two scenarios:

1. "Black" - mobber provokes conflict with the victim for any reason, willingly, like swarms, involving colleagues. The victim after the short struggle and attempts to prove his innocence loose their motivation and leaves by itself. "Black" scenario is typical for companies with a very low standards of management.

2. "White" - the mobber works furtively. The atmosphere looks calm and even pleasant, but under this mask is the real harassment. This scenario often play mid-level managers. Any initiative of the worker is blocked, he has not given the job, there are formal remarks about the quality of work, appearance, etc. At the same time, the victim becomes the subject of rumors about his incompetence. "White" option may be delayed for months, and damage to the health of the victim - maximum.

How to respond mobber

Keep calm. Do not worsen and does not sort out its relationship with mobber - more emotion into the conflict, the more interesting for all around.

Make a contact with the mobber. Try gently to clarify the issue with him calmly and find out how it can be resolved.

You will not lose if use good humor and be positive - it is psychologically good and helps keep dignity in mobbing situations.

Do not loose you work motivation - do not late, improve the quality of work, be accurate and rapid. Smart Chief mobber will think whether to lose such a valuable employee.

If the conflicts and nitpicking caused by inadequate requirements are obvious even to bystanders reduce the relations with the aggressor to a minimum.

Do not complain to the colleagues, do not talk scandal. Keep yourself as nothing is happens, stick to your tasks.

If the attacks and harassment continue, take to the situation objectively and start to look for another job. Incidentally, if you stay to work in this company - career for you will be closed.

Risk groups

The likelihood that you will be subjected to harassment by colleagues, a very big if:

the boss put you in the team personally. You have the sympathy of leadership, high wages, "green light" in the endeavors and ... dislike of your colleagues

you are a pensioner or your career golden ages are away in the past. A young colleagues will not be happy until rid you out of the office

you - inexperienced newcomer. Always will be "good" people who will show you how you are negligible and stupid


IMPORTANT

At the new job did not speak to anyone about the conflict in the past.
