I just started a new site www.classypurse.info and I'm looking for the best quality advertising on a budget. I've used google, msn and miva with other sites previously but I always spend more on advertising than I make in sales.
You could hire a article writer to write you a few quality articles about your websites niche. Then use a submission service to get your article out to a lot of article directories. This will get you long term quality backlink's.
Purhaps purchase advertising space on sites similiar to your's. Or at least where the type of audience you are wanting to target. I'm thinking if you have a affiliate program for your website, people might starting promoting it themselves to make a few extra dollar's. (Run a contest once and awhile, keep people eager to see your site) That'll get the word out about your site also.
Write reviews in blogs and insert your websites link in it. There are some famous blogs that charge a lot to write reviews but the exposure your site would get is amazing. (I haven't did this service yet, but read about results)
Adwords is good to targeet a certain audience but it can get expensive when you are battling with other advertiser's in your sites niche.
If i was you, i would at least do as much SEO optimizing on your website as you can. Have you also asked for advice on the DP forum? Get as much feedback as you can and they spin off on it. I use a lot of free advertising and only use paid advertising once and awhile. But the thing is, took me also also two hears to see any result's. I'm looking for long term traffic though.
Now i just woke up and about to have a coffee. The thinking cap will go on soon. lol
Thanks, lots of interesting ideas. Since I last posted here I have been posting on free directories like craisy. What do you think about directories?
What are you doing to advertise?
How much experience do you have on the net and in business?
Rick
Right now I'm just using directories but looking for other ideas. I really like the article idea. I'm going to think about that a lot. I don't have very much experience with web promotion. I have had sites before and I've done some affiliate marketing but I'm tired of losing money. I would like to make money for a change. I'm sick of all the scams out there. I need to succeed without spending money.
